My Visit

I went to talk to mom today

I just wanted to say, "Hi!"

I sat in the grass beside her

Beneath the beautiful sky.

I reminisced of days gone by

I laughed and cried some too,

I told my mom I missed her so

I heard her say, "Son, I do you too."

I had a wonderful visit with her

I blew her a kiss and then gave a wave,

"Mom, I love you so very much!"

I said as I left her grave.
